Assembler (with hydraulic/mechanical experience)
Assembles, fits, and repairs mechanical components and subassemblies using hand tools, power tools, blueprints, and bills of materials.
Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 0–2 years of mechanical experience.
- Basic mathematical skills.
- Ability to read blueprints and bills of materials.
- Knowledge of parts preparation for mechanical assembly.
- Ability to use hand and power tools including drills, grinders, sockets, and wrenches.
- Ability to provide required personal hand tools.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Ability to set critical bearing clearances and shaft locations.
Preferred Skills
- 2–4 years of mechanical assembly experience.
- Experience with mechanical and hydraulic assembly.
- Experience assembling bearings, shafts, pulleys, gearboxes, and conveyor components.
- Experience performing product repair and refit activities.
Job Responsibilities
- Construct and assemble mechanical subassemblies and complete units.
- Assemble shafts, pulleys, bearings, gearboxes, conveyor components, and related mechanical parts.
- Perform fitting and assembly operations according to specifications.
- Read and follow blueprints, bills of materials, and assembly documentation.
- Prepare parts for assembly.
- Set bearing clearances and shaft locations according to required specifications.
- Use hand tools, power tools, and specialized assembly equipment.
- Perform repairs and refitting of products as required.
- Inspect assembled components for proper fit and installation.
- Maintain required assembly documentation and records.
Pay Details: $20.00 to $22.00 per hour
