Welder

Performs MIG welding, metal fabrication, weld setup, inspection, and repair activities using blueprints and technical specifications.

Job Requirements

• Approximately 2 years of MIG welding experience preferred.
• Experience setting up welding equipment and weld parameters.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
• Experience performing welds in vertical, horizontal, and overhead positions.
• Knowledge of welding safety procedures and required personal protective equipment.
• Ability to cut, measure, align, and prepare metal components for welding.
• Ability to stand, bend, and lift heavy materials and equipment for extended periods.
• Ability to work in environments with high temperatures, sparks, fumes, and elevated noise levels.
• Ability to successfully complete a weld test during the interview process.

Preferred Skills

• Welding certification.
• TIG welding experience.
• Stick welding experience.
• Flux-core welding experience.
• Submerged arc welding experience.
• Metal fabrication experience.
• Experience repairing or modifying metal structures and equipment.

Job Responsibilities

• Perform MIG welding using manual and semi-automatic welding equipment.
• Set up welding equipment and prepare appropriate weld parameters.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, technical drawings, and welding specifications.
• Cut, measure, align, fit, and prepare metal components for welding.
• Weld components in vertical, horizontal, overhead, and other required positions.
• Operate TIG, Stick, Flux-Core, Submerged Arc, and other welding processes as applicable.
• Inspect completed welds for quality and compliance with specifications.
• Perform repairs and modifications on welded structures, components, and equipment.
• Perform routine maintenance on welding machines, tools, and related equipment.
• Follow established welding, manufacturing, and safety procedures.
• Maintain welding work areas and equipment.

Pay Details: $18.00 to $25.00 per hour
