Quality Control Inspector
Inspects aerospace materials, components, and finished products to verify compliance with drawings, manufacturing requirements, and quality standards.
Job Requirements
- 0–5 years of quality inspection experience in aerospace or a comparable precision manufacturing industry
- Experience inspecting raw materials, in-process components, and finished products
- Ability to use precision measuring instruments and visual inspection techniques
- Ability to interpret inspection procedures, manufacturing requirements, and specifications
- Experience documenting inspection results in reports, logs, and quality databases
- Knowledge of manufacturing methods and procedures
- Ability to perform shop mathematics
- Knowledge of calibration requirements for inspection and measuring equipment
- Ability to identify nonconforming material, rework, and scrap conditions
Preferred Skills
- Knowledge of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing
- Aerospace manufacturing inspection experience
- Experience with quality management systems and electronic inspection databases
- Experience performing calibration checks or maintaining calibration records
- Experience reading engineering drawings and blueprints
- Knowledge of aerospace regulatory and customer quality requirements
Job Responsibilities
- Inspect incoming raw materials, in-process components, and finished products
- Verify dimensions, workmanship, and product characteristics against drawings and specifications
- Perform visual and dimensional inspections using precision measuring equipment
- Follow applicable standard process instructions and inspection procedures
- Document inspection findings in reports, logs, and quality systems
- Record rework, scrap, waste, and nonconforming material information
- Enter inspection data into the quality database
- Identify and report product or process nonconformances
- Verify inspection tools and equipment are within calibration
- Maintain calibration records and support calibration activities
- Review manufacturing methods and procedures during inspection activities
- Support containment, reinspection, and disposition activities for nonconforming products
- Maintain inspection records and traceability documentation
- Follow applicable safety, quality, and regulatory procedures
Pay Details: $22.00 to $32.00 per hour
