CNC Maintenance Mechanic II
Troubleshoots, repairs, relocates, installs, and maintains CNC machinery and supporting mechanical systems used in aerospace and defense manufacturing.
Job Requirements
- At least 8 years of industrial maintenance or CNC machine repair experience
- Advanced experience troubleshooting and repairing CNC machines
- Experience relocating machinery and completing installations from initial setup
- Experience diagnosing electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical equipment failures
- Experience performing preventive maintenance on production machinery and shop equipment
- Ability to read diagrams, sketches, operating manuals, manufacturer instructions, and engineering specifications
- Proficiency with precision measuring instruments, electrical test equipment, hand tools, and power tools
- Experience dismantling machinery and replacing defective components
- Experience using hoists, cranes, and rigging equipment
- Experience completing purchase requisitions and maintaining repair-vendor relationships
- Knowledge of industrial equipment safety requirements
- CNC maintenance experience rather than PLC programming or controls engineering experience
Preferred Skills
- Aerospace or defense manufacturing experience
- Experience maintaining engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyors, and production machines
- Experience leveling, aligning, and calibrating relocated CNC equipment
- Experience fabricating replacement or repair parts
- Experience maintaining spare-parts and maintenance-supply inventories
- Knowledge of machine geometry, spindle systems, drive systems, servos, and CNC control hardware
Job Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair CNC machine malfunctions
- Troubleshoot electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical systems
- Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on CNC machines and production equipment
- Relocate, install, level, align, and set up machinery from initial placement
- Verify machine operation after installation, repair, or relocation
- Inspect operating equipment to identify vibration, noise, alignment, wear, and performance issues
- Use precision measuring and testing instruments to locate equipment failures
- Dismantle machinery and remove defective parts
- Install and adjust replacement components, control instruments, and functional machine parts
- Use hoists, cranes, hand tools, and power tools during repair and installation activities
- Interpret technical manuals, diagrams, specifications, and equipment documentation
- Fabricate repair parts using available shop equipment and instrumentation
- Coordinate complex repairs with equipment manufacturers and service vendors
- Maintain production machinery, shop equipment, and facility systems
- Document maintenance activities, equipment repairs, and parts usage
- Maintain inventories of replacement parts, tools, and maintenance supplies
- Prepare and process purchase requisitions for required parts and services
- Monitor equipment conditions and identify maintenance requirements that could affect production
- Provide production personnel with routine preventive-maintenance procedures
Pay Details: $30.00 to $41.00 per hour
