Job Requirements

  • Eligibility to work in the United States for any employer
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Experience analyzing manufacturing productivity, quality, delivery, safety, environmental, and maintenance data
  • Experience managing multiple manufacturing or capital improvement projects
  • Experience preparing project cost estimates, savings calculations, and cost-justification analyses
  • Knowledge of manufacturing process design, optimization, and troubleshooting
  • Experience specifying, installing, and commissioning process equipment
  • Ability to develop engineering calculations, process design documentation, process flow diagrams, and technical reports
  • Experience conducting pilot-scale and production-scale testing
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Access
  • Ability to apply engineering, chemistry, and mathematical principles to manufacturing processes
  • Ability to work in laboratory and manufacturing environments

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with AutoCAD
  • Experience with industrial robotics and automation
  • Knowledge of programming languages used in manufacturing systems
  • Experience improving Overall Equipment Effectiveness
  • Experience working with equipment manufacturers and outside vendors
  • Experience with environmental controls, air-emissions reduction, or plant safety projects
  • Experience developing annual capital project budgets

Job Responsibilities

  • Lead high-priority manufacturing improvement projects
  • Improve production speed, product quality, defect rates, plant safety, and environmental performance
  • Identify opportunities to automate manufacturing processes and value streams
  • Develop projects that improve production-line and value-stream equipment effectiveness
  • Analyze potential improvement opportunities and calculate projected savings
  • Develop technical solutions, project scopes, schedules, budgets, and cost justifications
  • Manage multiple projects from concept through installation and completion
  • Provide project timelines, status reports, and budget updates
  • Support annual capital and improvement project planning
  • Analyze manufacturing and maintenance data to identify improvement opportunities
  • Work with suppliers and equipment manufacturers to define equipment specifications
  • Design and conduct laboratory, pilot, and production-scale process tests
  • Document, analyze, and report process-test results
  • Identify required process equipment and establish operating parameters
  • Develop process flow diagrams and manufacturing process documentation
  • Specify, procure, install, and commission new process equipment
  • Prepare engineering calculations, process designs, test reports, and project records
  • Troubleshoot and optimize manufacturing processes, equipment, and products
  • Coordinate project activities across manufacturing, quality, engineering, maintenance, and equipment suppliers


Pay Details: $35.00 to $50.00 per hour
