Designs, develops, tests, and maintains high-performance software applications across front-end, back-end, and motion-control environments.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a related technical field

  • Minimum of 5 years of hands-on Java development experience

  • Proficiency in Java and at least one additional programming language, including C++, C#, or Python

  • Knowledge of software engineering principles, design patterns, and development best practices

  • Experience designing, developing, testing, and maintaining software applications

  • Experience with source control and development tools such as Git, SVN, Jira, Visual Studio, or NetBeans

  • Familiarity with front-end and back-end development concepts

  • Experience troubleshooting, debugging, and optimizing software

  • Experience participating in code reviews

  • Experience creating and maintaining technical documentation

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with motion-control technologies

  • Knowledge of brushless DC motors

  • Knowledge of stepper motor systems

  • Knowledge of servo systems

  • Experience developing software that interfaces with hardware or embedded systems

  • Knowledge of safety standards and regulatory requirements for motion-control products

  • Experience with software performance and reliability testing

  • Experience improving software development processes and engineering tools

  • Experience integrating software with hardware, applications, and control systems

Job Responsibilities

  • Design and develop high-performance software applications

  • Troubleshoot and resolve software defects

  • Optimize application performance and resource usage

  • Define software requirements, interfaces, and technical solutions

  • Participate in source-code and design reviews

  • Maintain source control, issue-tracking, and development records

  • Create software design documents, test procedures, and technical documentation

  • Integrate software with motion-control systems and related hardware when required

  • Verify software compliance with applicable safety and regulatory requirements

  • Evaluate new technologies, development methods, and engineering tools

  • Implement improvements to software development, testing, and release processes

Pay: 150k-165k/year
