Quality Control Technician I
Monitors, tests, documents, and validates manufactured products and raw materials to ensure compliance with defined quality specifications.
Job Requirements
At least 1 year of quality control, quality assurance, or laboratory experience
Experience working in a manufacturing environment
Experience performing routine material or product testing
Knowledge of ratios, decimals, measurements, and test-result calculations
Ability to work with multiple units of measure
Basic computer proficiency
Experience using Microsoft Office applications, including Excel
Ability to enter data, generate reports, and maintain quality documentation
Ability to safely lift up to 70 pounds
Ability to pull pails from pallets and fill canisters with adhesive
Manual dexterity required to operate testing devices repeatedly
20/20 vision or corrected 20/20 vision
Ability to work around chemicals while wearing required personal protective equipment
Preferred Skills
Previous experience as a quality or laboratory technician
Statistical analysis experience
Experience testing different types of raw materials and finished products
Knowledge of quality control and quality assurance requirements
Experience with SYSPRO or another ERP system
Experience creating, auditing, or revising standard operating procedures
Experience training employees on testing methods
Job Responsibilities
Monitor and validate manufactured products against established specifications
Perform routine quality checks during each production run
Use approved measuring and testing devices in accordance with established procedures
Test incoming raw materials for compliance with quality requirements
Record test results in Microsoft Excel, manual documents, and applicable systems
Track quality deviations, nonconformances, and test-result trends
Notify production management when materials or products fall outside defined parameters
Provide production operators with testing results and recommended process adjustments
Physically quarantine nonconforming or questionable finished products
Record quarantined materials in the SYSPRO operating system
Coordinate testing, release, or disposition of quarantined products
Escalate unresolved quality issues to production management or laboratory personnel
Collect, label, and store samples for field-quality investigations
Fill canisters with adhesive and handle pails or materials weighing up to 70 pounds
Maintain laboratory supplies, testing equipment, and documentation
Order laboratory supplies with authorization
Train employees on testing procedures
Participate in trial production runs and provide quality support on the production floor
Conduct safety audits and attend required safety meetings
Audit, create, and revise standard operating procedures
Perform weekly and monthly inventory cycle counts
Maintain laboratory and production work areas in accordance with safety requirements
Wear required gloves, hard hats, and other personal protective equipment
Pay: 17-20/hr

Pay Details: $17.00 to $20.00 per hour
