Material Handler
Performs receiving, order picking, shipping, inventory, and material-handling activities within a warehouse environment.
Job Requirements
High school diploma or GED
Experience with warehouse systems and inventory processes
Ability to safely lift up to 75 pounds using proper lifting techniques
Ability to operate material-handling equipment
Ability to perform repetitive hand and foot movements
Availability to work any shift
Experience maintaining warehouse records and inventory documentation
Ability to follow OSHA requirements and warehouse safety procedures
Preferred Skills
OSHA forklift certification
HAZMAT certification
Experience operating forklifts, cherry pickers, and pallet jacks
Experience with physical inventories and cycle counts
Experience entering inventory adjustments into warehouse systems
Knowledge of stock rotation procedures
Experience operating shrink-wrap equipment
Job Responsibilities
Unload trucks, trailers, railcars, and freight containers
Count received products and compare shipments against manifests
Inspect inbound shipments for damage, infestation, and product code dates
Document shortages, damages, and incorrect shipments
Sign for inbound shipments when authorized
Move inbound materials to designated warehouse storage locations
Stack and store merchandise safely and efficiently
Pick products according to item number, quantity, lot, batch, and serial-number requirements
Transport orders to shipping locations using forklifts, cherry pickers, pallet jacks, and related equipment
Label, stencil, tag, band, bundle, wrap, over-pack, and palletize orders
Verify outbound quantities, labels, and shipping addresses against order documentation
Sign for outbound shipments when required
Load products, cartons, and pallets into trailers, railcars, and containers
Maintain forklifts and material-handling equipment in clean and orderly condition
Charge forklift batteries as required
Maintain accurate warehouse records and reports
Assist with physical inventories and cycle counts
Perform stock rotation and enter inventory adjustments
Repack or re-box products according to customer instructions
Repair, separate, and consolidate damaged goods
Operate shrink-wrap equipment
Sort usable and damaged pallets
Clean trailers, railcars, loading docks, and warehouse bays
Follow applicable OSHA, HAZMAT, equipment, and warehouse safety requirements
Pay: 15-17/hr

Pay Details: $15.00 to $17.00 per hour
