SI Engineer
Signal Integrity Engineer role focused on high-speed copper I/O cable assembly design, simulation, characterization, debugging, and production support for advanced data transmission applications.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
- Understanding of electromagnetic principles for digital signal integrity
- Experience with signal integrity simulation and electromagnetic analysis tools
- Experience with Ansys HFSS, Ansys Designer, or CST Microwave
- Experience with signal integrity measurements and debugging
- Experience using TDR, VNA, pattern generators, error detectors, or similar measurement equipment
- Hands-on experience with frequency-domain and time-domain component and circuit characterization
- Understanding of test methods and calibration methods
- Experience supporting high-speed digital communication technologies
- Experience working with data rates up to 224Gbps per lane
Preferred Skills
- Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering
- Experience with component design for high-speed cables or connectors
- Experience applying high-speed cables or connectors into communications equipment
- MATLAB experience
- ADS experience
- HSPICE experience
- Experience with datacenter, cloud, 5G, storage, enterprise I/O, or high-speed interconnect applications
- Experience supporting new product introduction
- Experience supporting global factory production ramp-up
Job Responsibilities
- Design high-speed electrical cable assemblies
- Perform simulation and characterization of high-speed copper I/O cable assemblies
- Support application of high-speed electrical cable assemblies in customer systems
- Develop components for next-generation high-speed I/O interconnect products
- Support new product introduction activities
- Identify and resolve signal integrity issues for high-speed data transmission applications
- Provide signal integrity and electrical engineering support for customer technical requirements
- Collaborate with engineering teams on high-speed I/O interconnect product development
- Support sales and applications engineering teams with product break-in strategies based on signal integrity requirements
- Support global factories during production ramp-up
- Advise on build methods, experiments, measurements, and test limit development
- Improve signal integrity methods, workflows, and analysis processes
Pay Details: $115,000.00 to $150,000.00 per year
