Assembler I – 1st shift

Production Assembly Technician position focused on small-part assembly, electronic and mechanical assemblies, quality checks, rework, and production support.

Job Requirements

• Background in traditional art, including drawing, painting, and/or sculpting
• Basic knowledge of production-related systems and procedures
• Experience working from visual aids, method layouts, diagrams, schematics, process flow sheets, and assembly instructions
• Experience using hand tools, power tools, jigs, and saws
• Experience with repetitive and nonrepetitive production assembly operations

Preferred Skills

• 1–3 years of medical device experience
• Clean room manufacturing experience
• Technical writing experience
• Experience with electronic and/or mechanical assemblies and subassemblies
• Experience with modules, boards, panels, drawers, frames, and cables
• Experience performing continuity checks and quality inspections
• Experience with prototype assembly, rework, and testing

Job Responsibilities

• Perform repetitive and nonrepetitive production assembly operations
• Assemble electronic and mechanical assemblies and subassemblies
• Follow visual aids, layouts, diagrams, schematics, process flow sheets, and assembly instructions
• Set initial layouts for assembly work
• Use hand tools, power tools, jigs, and saws during production tasks
• Perform continuity checks on work in process and completed assemblies
• Conduct quality inspections according to quality specifications
• Disassemble, modify, rework, reassemble, and test experimental or prototype assemblies and subassemblies
• Support manufacturing and distribution operations, including assembly, machinery, processing, packaging, and distribution of products
• Set up and operate automatic or semiautomatic machines and related production equipment
• Report machine malfunctions or abnormalities
• Support shipping, receiving, inventory control, and product storage activities

Pay Details: $16.00 to $18.00 per hour
