CNC Saw Operator

CNC Saw Operator responsible for setting up, programming, and operating computer-controlled saws to cut structural materials to required dimensions.

Job Requirements

• 1+ year of experience working with a metal cutting saw

• Experience operating CNC saws or computer-controlled saw equipment

• Ability to read a tape measure

• Experience working with structural materials

• Experience cutting raw materials to precise dimensions

• Experience reading blueprints or cut specifications

• Knowledge of safe saw operation

• Experience inspecting cut parts for defects

• Experience working with load-bearing or construction-related materials

Preferred Skills

• Metal cutting experience

• Structural steel experience

• Aluminum cutting experience

• Timber or engineered wood cutting experience

• Concrete, masonry, fiberglass, or composite material handling experience

• Experience adjusting blade speeds

• Experience setting up saw programs

• Experience organizing raw material for production

• Experience supporting first-stage manufacturing operations

Job Responsibilities

• Set up CNC saws for production runs

• Program computer-controlled saws according to job requirements

• Operate CNC saws to cut raw materials

• Cut metal, plastic, wood, or other structural materials to required dimensions

• Review blueprints before cutting operations

• Read and apply tape measure measurements

• Manage blade speeds based on material and job requirements

• Inspect finished pieces for dimensional accuracy

• Inspect cut pieces for defects

• Maintain safe saw operation during production

• Maintain organized saw work area

• Prepare raw materials for cutting

• Support the first stage of the manufacturing process

• Verify cut materials meet production and quality requirements

Pay: 17-20/hr

Pay Details: $17.00 to $20.00 per hour
