Forklift Operator I – 1st shift
Forklift operator role focused on material handling, product selection, shipping support, loading, unloading, and plant production movement.
Requirements
- 1–2 years of forklift experience with sit-down and stand-up forklifts
- Experience operating forklifts in an industrial plant environment
- Experience selecting product according to pick sheets
- Experience moving raw materials, finished goods, and palletized product
- Ability to follow safety, quality, security, and operations policies and procedures
- Ability to read and follow standard operating procedures and operator manuals
- Ability to understand and follow posted facility signage
- Understanding of lockout/tagout procedures
- Understanding of hazard communication policies
- Ability to demonstrate safety rule and regulation competency through written or verbal examination after training
- Knowledge of safety and environmental regulatory requirements associated with manufacturing
- Ability to work around machinery and chemicals
- Ability to move large amounts of product through congested areas using various types of equipment
- 20/20 vision or corrected 20/20 vision
- Ability to stand, walk, sit, reach, climb, stoop, and kneel
- Ability to perform repetitive physical work under varying climate conditions
- Ability to safely lift up to 70 lbs.
- Ability to stand or sit throughout the shift
- Ability to work in a plant environment with varying temperatures and physical requirements

- High-reach truck experience
- Experience selecting product for shipping
- Experience reading and working with SOPs
- Experience working with chemicals
- Light chemical manufacturing experience
- Loading and unloading experience in a high-volume facility
- Material handling experience
- Cycle counting experience
- Scanning experience
Responsibilities
- Select correct product according to pick sheets
- Place product on pallets according to specified requirements
- Move completed orders to designated staging areas for shipment
- Operate forklifts to move raw materials throughout the plant
- Load and unload trucks for shipping and receiving activities
- Stack finished goods onto pallets
- Wrap finished pallets
- Load finished pallets onto trailers
- Move product through congested plant areas using appropriate equipment
- Support material handling, cycle counting, and scanning activities
- Follow standard operating procedures and equipment operator manuals
- Follow safety and environmental regulatory requirements associated with manufacturing
Pay Details: $16.00 to $18.00 per hour
