Fitter / Fabrication Associate responsible for blueprint interpretation, fitting support, overhead crane operation, grinding, measuring, torch use, and shop-based fabrication work.

Requirements

  • Experience reading and interpreting blueprints
  • Fitting experience preferred
  • Experience operating overhead cranes
  • Experience using grinders
  • Experience using measuring tools
  • Experience using torches
  • Experience working in a shop environment
  • Experience with fabrication, layout, assembly, or trade-based hands-on work
  • Interest in developing skills beyond current trade background

Responsibilities

  • Interpret blueprints, drawings, and layout instructions
  • Fit materials and components for shop production
  • Operate overhead cranes to move materials and parts
  • Use grinders for material preparation and finishing
  • Use measuring tools to verify dimensions and fit-up
  • Use torches for shop-related material work
  • Prepare materials for fabrication and assembly
  • Support shop production activities
  • Inspect fit-up and layout accuracy before final processing
  • Maintain safe and organized work areas
  • Support hands-on fabrication tasks as assigned


Pay Details: $20.00 to $27.00 per hour
