Maintenance Tech Level II

Maintenance Technician II responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, installing, and maintaining production equipment and facility systems in a heavy manufacturing environment.

Requirements

• 5+ years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment
• Experience troubleshooting industrial production equipment
• Working knowledge of industrial electrical systems up to 480V
• Experience with hydraulic systems
• Experience with pneumatic systems
• Experience with conveyors
• Experience with motors and motor controls
• Experience with mechanical equipment repair
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints
• Ability to read and interpret layout plans
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals
• Experience following written and verbal instructions
• Availability for overtime as needed
• Availability to stay late to complete repairs and support production demands
• Availability for weekend work when required
• Ability to participate in on-call rotation and respond to maintenance emergencies
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb, and work in various positions throughout the shift
• Ability to regularly lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces when required
• Ability to work in a heavy industrial environment with exposure to heat, dust, fumes, noise, industrial chemicals, and extreme temperatures
• Ability to wear required PPE, including respirators, SCBAs, gloves, and protective clothing
• Ability to climb ladders, equipment, and rooftops when necessary

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain industrial production equipment
• Maintain furnaces, molding equipment, grinders, conveyors, compressors, dust collection systems, pumps, and related manufacturing equipment
• Diagnose and repair mechanical systems
• Diagnose and repair electrical systems up to 480V
• Diagnose and repair hydraulic systems
• Diagnose and repair pneumatic systems
• Diagnose and repair motor controls
• Perform scheduled preventive and predictive maintenance activities
• Identify potential equipment failures before breakdowns occur
• Support equipment reliability and downtime reduction efforts
• Troubleshoot motors, drives, sensors, relays, contactors, and industrial electrical components
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, blueprints, technical manuals, and equipment documentation
• Install, modify, and upgrade machinery and equipment
• Perform welding, fabrication, and machine repair work as needed
• Support equipment installations and maintenance projects
• Assist with HVAC, plumbing, compressed air systems, building infrastructure, and facility repairs
• Coordinate with production teams to reduce downtime
• Work with outside contractors during maintenance projects
• Maintain work orders, maintenance records, and inventory usage in the CMMS system
• Train and mentor less experienced maintenance technicians when needed
• Maintain work area organization
• Follow safety procedures, including Lockout/Tagout, Confined Space Entry, machine guarding, and PPE requirements
• Maintain compliance with safety standards and regulations

Pay Details: $35.00 to $45.00 per hour
