Production painting role focused on coating application, paint system operation, rework, and quality inspection for metal fabrication.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 3–5 years of painting experience in production, metal fabrication, or similar HVLP spray work
  • Painting equipment knowledge
  • Ability to read work orders and quality plans
  • Basic math skills
  • Experience applying coatings to required mil thickness
  • Mil gauge experience
  • Ability to stand or walk most of an 8–10 hour shift
  • Ability to bend, stoop, twist, and reach
  • Ability to carry paint containers up to 40 lbs frequently
  • Ability to work from ladders or scaffolding up to 20 feet
  • Ability to work on roofs up to 1/2-inch slope per foot

Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate paint pot systems
  • Mix coatings per formula using automated equipment
  • Apply coatings to required mil thickness
  • Verify coating thickness using a mil gauge
  • Inspect paint application for runs, defects, and other quality issues
  • Adjust valves and switches for air pressure and spray flow
  • Monitor gauges for deviations
  • Sand and roll paint for rework
  • Operate power washers
  • Complete coating work according to work orders and quality plans


Pay Details: $20.00 to $24.00 per hour
