Looking for TIG Welder on 1st shift

Pay $18+ /hr
Hours: 8AM - 4:30PM Mon - Fri
 

Welding role responsible for TIG and MIG welding aluminum, mild steel, and stainless steel components according to blueprint specifications and inspection requirements.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED

  • 1 to 3 years of welding experience or equivalent combination of education and experience

  • TIG welding experience

  • MIG welding experience

  • Experience welding aluminum, mild steel, and stainless steel

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints

  • Ability to read and interpret weld symbols

  • Experience setting up and adjusting welding equipment for varying material types and thicknesses

  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods

  • Ability to regularly lift up to 50 lbs.

  • Ability to frequently lift up to 100 lbs.

  • Close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus

Preferred Skills

  • Experience performing first-piece inspections

  • Experience performing in-process inspections

  • Experience preparing materials through grinding, drilling, milling, tapping, and cutting

  • Experience changing welding wire, consumables, and gas tanks

  • Experience performing simple welding equipment repairs

  • Forklift operation experience

Job Responsibilities

  • Perform TIG and MIG welding on aluminum, mild steel, and stainless steel components

  • Weld components according to blueprint specifications

  • Set up welding equipment, including voltage, current, gas flow, torch angle, and tungsten diameter or sharpness

  • Adjust welding setup based on material type and thickness

  • Inspect welds for quality and accuracy

  • Perform first-piece inspections

  • Perform in-process inspections

  • Prepare materials for welding through grinding, drilling, milling, tapping, and cutting

  • Change welding wire, consumables, and gas tanks as needed

  • Monitor welding equipment and report maintenance needs

  • Perform simple equipment repairs as required

  • Cross-train in other areas of the plant as needed

  • Operate forklift when trained and required

Pay Details: $16.00 to $18.00 per hour
