Job Requirements

  • Experience setting up engine lathes
  • Experience operating engine lathes
  • Experience setting up milling machines
  • Experience operating milling machines
  • Experience setting up drill presses
  • Experience operating drill presses
  • Familiarity with machine tools and shop equipment
  • Experience machining precision parts
  • Experience working with carbon steel
  • Experience working with stainless steel
  • Experience using measuring instruments to determine dimensions and tolerances

Preferred Skills

  • Manual machinist experience
  • Experience performing routine maintenance on shop machinery
  • Experience machining parts to exact dimensions
  • Experience working with tight tolerances
  • Experience using precision measuring tools

Job Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate engine lathes
  • Set up and operate milling machines
  • Set up and operate drill presses
  • Machine precision parts made primarily from carbon steel and stainless steel
  • Determine exact dimensions using measuring instruments
  • Verify tolerances using measuring instruments
  • Perform routine maintenance on shop machinery
  • Use machine tools and equipment to complete machining operations


Pay Details: $30.00 to $40.00 per hour
