Swiss CNC Operator
Operate, adjust, inspect, and maintain Swiss-style CNC machines for precision component production.
Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Technical training preferred
- 2+ years of experience operating Swiss CNC machines
- Strong understanding of G-code and CNC controls
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Ability to understand GD&T
- Experience working with tight tolerances
- Experience using precision measuring tools, including micrometers, calipers, and gauges
- Familiarity with various materials, including stainless steel, aluminum, and plastics
- Strong math skills
Preferred Skills
- Experience helping set up Swiss-style CNC machines
- Experience performing tool changes
- Experience adjusting offsets
- Experience making minor CNC program edits
- Experience troubleshooting machining issues
- Experience documenting production and quality results
- Experience performing routine machine maintenance
Job Responsibilities
- Help set up and operate Swiss-style CNC machines
- Interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and job travelers
- Perform tool changes, offsets, and minor program edits
- Monitor machine operations to ensure parts meet specifications
- Inspect finished parts using micrometers, calipers, gauges, and other precision measuring tools
- Troubleshoot machining issues and make necessary adjustments
- Maintain production efficiency and minimize scrap
- Perform routine machine maintenance
- Keep work area clean
- Document production and quality results
Pay Details: $20.00 to $30.00 per hour
