Saw Operator

Looking for Saw Operator in St. Louis, MO.

Pay $17-25/hr, depending on experience
Hours 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM, MON-FRI
 

Material Cutter role focused on cutting raw materials to specification, operating cutting equipment, inspecting finished cuts, and supporting production workflow.

Job Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Basic math skills
• Ability to accurately read a tape measure
• Ability to read and interpret work orders, blueprints, and specifications
• Experience measuring and marking materials using tape measures, rulers, and gauges
• Ability to operate band saws, circular saws, and other cutting equipment
• Ability to follow safety procedures and PPE requirements
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Close visual acuity for precision measurement and inspection
• Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with noise, oils, and industrial hazards

Preferred Skills

• Previous manufacturing experience
• Previous warehouse experience
• Previous machine operation experience
• Familiarity with saws or cutting equipment
• Mechanical aptitude
• Experience performing basic equipment maintenance
• Experience handling raw materials in a production environment

Job Responsibilities

• Cut raw materials to required specifications in support of production operations
• Operate band saws, circular saws, and other cutting equipment
• Read and interpret work orders, blueprints, and specifications to determine cutting requirements
• Measure and mark materials using tape measures, rulers, and gauges
• Inspect raw materials before cutting
• Inspect finished cuts for accuracy, defects, and quality compliance
• Load and unload materials into cutting equipment
• Assist with material handling as needed
• Perform basic equipment maintenance
• Report mechanical issues to supervision
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
• Follow safety procedures and PPE requirements
• Support production workflow, quality standards, and cutting efficiency

Pay Details: $17.00 to $25.00 per hour
