Deskside IT Support Technician responsible for onsite support of computers, printers, peripherals, IT assets, and end-user technical issues.

Job Requirements

  • Degree in Information Technology or a related field, or equivalent experience.

  • High school diploma or equivalent accepted.

  • 1+ years of IT support experience preferred.

  • Recent graduates with relevant technical education may be considered.

  • Knowledge of computing and networking fundamentals.

  • Experience supporting desktop computers, printers, peripherals, and end-user devices.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.

  • Experience using intranet and internet-based tools.

  • Understanding of computer security policies and basic security concepts.

  • Experience troubleshooting hardware, software, and connectivity issues.

  • Experience following knowledge base articles and documented support procedures.

  • Experience maintaining IT asset and support records.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with deskside or Tier 1/Tier 2 IT support.

  • Experience imaging and deploying computers.

  • Experience replacing printer consumables and supporting printer issues.

  • Experience with IT asset management systems such as Asset Center.

  • Experience managing outdated, retired, or replacement hardware assets.

  • Experience working with ticketing systems.

  • Experience maintaining incident logs, inventory records, and maintenance documentation.

  • Experience coordinating equipment maintenance and supply replenishment.

Job Responsibilities

  • Provide onsite deskside support for computers, printers, peripherals, and end-user tickets.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and basic network-related issues.

  • Image and prepare computers for deployment.

  • Replace printer toner and support routine printer maintenance activities.

  • Process outdated or retired IT assets according to established procedures.

  • Update and maintain asset records in Asset Center or similar asset management systems.

  • Follow knowledge base articles and documented processes to resolve technical issues.

  • Document incidents, troubleshooting activities, and resolutions.

  • Maintain contact lists, support logs, inventory records, and maintenance records.

  • Identify and report recurring process or operational issues.

  • Monitor IT equipment and supply levels.

  • Schedule equipment maintenance as required.

  • Order IT supplies and replacement materials.

  • Coordinate with suppliers for equipment, maintenance, and support needs.

  • Maintain process-support data and update technical records.



Pay Details: $20.00 to $25.00 per hour
