Supplier Quality Engineer responsible for resolving supplier and manufacturing quality issues, executing quality planning activities, and driving corrective actions for externally manufactured parts and assemblies.

Job Requirements

  • Degree in Technology, Engineering, Business, Computer Science, Data Analytics, or a related discipline.

  • Experience in Supplier Quality Engineering, Quality Engineering, or a related manufacturing quality role.

  • Functional knowledge of project management methodologies.

  • Experience with quality management principles and tools, including:

    • Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA)

    • Statistical Process Control (SPC)

    • Root Cause Analysis

    • Control Plans

    • Gage R&R

    • Measurement System Analysis (MSA)

    • Capability Studies

  • Experience reading and interpreting complex part drawings.

  • Working knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).

  • Experience with advanced data gathering and statistical analysis techniques.

  • Experience applying Six Sigma methodologies.

  • Experience using 8D corrective action methodology.

  • Experience supporting cross-functional quality or manufacturing projects.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with supplier quality planning for fluid conveyance components.

  • Experience with hydraulics, metal fabrication, fasteners, or related manufactured components.

  • Experience supporting supplier change requests, cost reduction initiatives, resourcing, and temporary sourcing activities.

  • Experience conducting Design Process and Assembly Reviews (DPARs).

  • Experience conducting print reviews and product design reviews.

  • Experience supporting supplier Quality Improvement Teams.

  • Recent graduates with relevant engineering, manufacturing, or quality coursework or internship experience may be considered.

Job Responsibilities

  • Lead technical resolution of urgent shop-floor and customer quality issues.

  • Develop and implement permanent and systemic corrective actions to prevent recurrence.

  • Perform quality planning activities for current and new products.

  • Support quality planning for supplier changes, cost reduction programs, resourcing, and temporary sourcing.

  • Conduct Design Process and Assembly Reviews, print reviews, and design reviews.

  • Apply Six Sigma and statistical analysis tools to identify and address quality risks.

  • Perform Failure Modes and Effects Analysis for externally manufactured parts and assemblies.

  • Execute 8D corrective action activities.

  • Analyze supplier and manufacturing quality data to identify recurring failure modes and process risks.

  • Support development and implementation of control plans, capability studies, and measurement system evaluations.

  • Lead supplier Quality Improvement Team activities.

  • Track corrective actions through implementation and verification of effectiveness.



Pay Details: $30.00 to $36.00 per hour
