Supplier Quality Engineer
Support supplier quality planning, corrective action, audits, and continuous improvement activities across new product development and production programs.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, a technology-related discipline, or equivalent work experience.
- 2+ years of experience in manufacturing, quality engineering, supply management, or a related design/manufacturing environment.
- Experience with quality tools including:
- FMEA (Failure Modes and Effects Analysis).
- NCCA (Non-Conformance Corrective Action).
- SPC (Statistical Process Control).
- Root Cause Analysis.
- Six Sigma.
- Experience with advanced data gathering and statistical analysis techniques.
- Experience interpreting engineering drawings, schematics, and product models.
- Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
- Experience supporting supplier quality issues and corrective action processes.
- Experience with 8D corrective action methodology.
Preferred Skills
- 2+ years of experience applying supplier quality engineering tools, including:
- Supplier Audits.
- Design, Process, and Assembly Reviews (DPARs).
- Design Reviews.
- Knowledge of SAP-PAG and SAP-PDM.
- Experience performing JDS-G223 audits, Process Verification Audits, Special Process Audits, or similar supplier/process audits.
- Experience with riding lawn equipment or utility vehicle manufacturing processes.
- Experience with Lean manufacturing methodologies.
Job Responsibilities
- Lead quality planning activities for assigned commodities supporting new product development, current production, service parts, continuous improvement, and value improvement projects.
- Support cross-functional quality development activities including DPARs, FMEAs, control plans, design reviews, supplier audits, risk assessments, and root cause analysis.
- Identify and resolve supplier quality issues affecting new product development and current production.
- Facilitate 8D corrective action activities for supplier quality and program-related issues.
- Manage Return Goods Authorization (RGA) quality activities.
- Review and support Supplier Change Requests (SCRs).
- Develop and maintain supplier quality plans.
- Support supplier improvement and corrective action initiatives.
- Analyze quality and supplier performance data to identify and resolve manufacturing and product issues.
Pay Details: $33.00 to $37.00 per hour
