Plans and executes manufacturing engineering projects in a foundry environment with significant shop-floor involvement supporting production, automation, and process improvement activities.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, or equivalent relevant work experience.
  • Manufacturing engineering or related industrial engineering experience.
  • Project engineering or project management experience.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to work approximately 75% of the time on the manufacturing shop floor.
  • Experience supporting production equipment, manufacturing processes, or plant engineering activities.
  • Experience coordinating engineering projects from planning through implementation.

Preferred Skills

  • Foundry or metal casting experience.
  • Knowledge of casting processes.
  • FANUC robotics experience.
  • FANUC robot programming experience.
  • FANUC robotics troubleshooting experience.
  • SAP experience.
  • Manufacturing Execution System (MES) experience.
  • Creo experience.
  • AutoCAD experience.
  • Experience supporting automated manufacturing equipment.

Job Responsibilities

  • Plan, coordinate, and execute manufacturing engineering projects throughout the foundry.
  • Provide hands-on engineering support to production operations on the shop floor.
  • Work with engineers, supervisors, and operators to support manufacturing requirements.
  • Support foundry equipment, production processes, and order fulfillment activities.
  • Coordinate engineering projects involving equipment, automation, tooling, or process improvements.
  • Troubleshoot manufacturing process and equipment issues.
  • Support implementation and optimization of FANUC robotic systems when applicable.
  • Develop and maintain engineering documentation using applicable CAD and manufacturing systems.
  • Analyze production processes and identify opportunities for manufacturing improvements.
  • Support equipment installation, process changes, and production implementation activities.
  • Use SAP, MES, Creo, AutoCAD, and other applicable systems to support manufacturing engineering activities.


Pay Details: $36.00 to $41.00 per hour
