Production Supervisor / Module Leader (3rd Shift)
Supervises third-shift skilled trades and production personnel while coordinating machining, fabrication, welding, maintenance, safety, and production activities.
Job Requirements
- At least 3 years of supervisory experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment
- At least 5 years of experience in engineering, skilled trades, maintenance, manufacturing, or another technical field
- Experience supervising skilled trades and production personnel
- Experience supporting machining, metal fabrication, or welding operations
- Experience managing production schedules, staffing priorities, and maintenance requirements
- Knowledge of safe work practices and environmental requirements
- Experience leading capital and expense projects
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and other Microsoft Office applications
- Experience with SAP or a comparable enterprise resource planning system
- Ability to work third shift
- Ability to provide on-call support
- Ability to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as required
Preferred Skills
- Experience supervising electricians, pipefitters, millwrights, or building and grounds personnel
- Experience supervising union-represented employees
- Knowledge of preventive and predictive maintenance techniques
- Experience with automation, industrial controls, or robotics
- Experience processing maintenance transactions in SAP
- Experience creating purchase orders in SAP
- Experience supporting equipment and facility maintenance programs
- Knowledge of control plans and manufacturing quality requirements
Job Responsibilities
- Supervise approximately five skilled trades personnel and 10–15 production employees
- Provide third-shift production oversight and work direction
- Ensure production requirements are met in machining, metal fabrication, and welding areas
- Assign work based on production, maintenance, facility, and distribution priorities
- Coordinate maintenance projects and preventive maintenance activities with day-shift leadership
- Verify assigned personnel have required training, work instructions, tools, and equipment
- Monitor control plans and manufacturing quality requirements
- Investigate workmanship issues and implement corrective actions
- Monitor employee performance and administer corrective or disciplinary actions according to established policies
- Ensure compliance with operating procedures, work rules, safety requirements, and environmental standards
- Communicate staffing, scheduling, policy, and operational information between shifts
- Plan equipment and facility maintenance to maximize uptime and asset utilization
- Coordinate skilled trades support for production and facility issues
- Lead capital equipment and expense-related projects
- Monitor preventive and predictive maintenance activities
- Support automation, controls, robotics, and manufacturing equipment issues
- Enter and review applicable production and maintenance transactions in SAP
- Create or support purchase orders for maintenance materials and services
- Implement and monitor workplace safety and housekeeping programs
- Maintain production, staffing, maintenance, quality, and safety records
Pay Details: $30.00 to $35.00 per hour
