Computer Support Associate/Infrastructure Engineer
Provides onsite technical support for office and shop-floor computers, networks, peripherals, software, and manufacturing users.
Job Requirements
- Degree in Information Technology or a related discipline, or equivalent technical experience
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Associate degree may be considered with relevant experience
- At least 1 year of IT support experience preferred
- Recent college graduates may be considered
- Knowledge of computing and networking fundamentals
- Experience supporting desktop computers, scanners, printers, and related peripherals
- Experience installing software updates and performing hardware troubleshooting
- Experience uploading files, configuring devices, and supporting standard desktop applications
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, intranet applications, and internet-based systems
- Knowledge of computer security policies and basic cybersecurity concepts
- Experience following inventory-management and technical documentation procedures
- Ability to spend at least 50% of working hours on a manufacturing shop floor
- Ability to wear required metatarsal safety footwear
- Ability to lift 30–50 pounds
- Availability to provide escalated support for factory systems when required
Preferred Skills
- Experience supporting IT systems in a manufacturing or industrial environment
- Experience with office and production-floor technology
- Familiarity with network connectivity troubleshooting
- Experience maintaining IT asset and inventory records
- Knowledge of endpoint security, access controls, and software patching
- Experience supporting production-critical computers and peripherals
Job Responsibilities
- Provide technical support for office and shop-floor employees
- Install, configure, update, and troubleshoot desktop computers
- Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, printer, scanner, and peripheral issues
- Support standard desktop, intranet, and internet applications
- Troubleshoot basic network connectivity and device communication issues
- Perform software installations, updates, uploads, and system maintenance
- Apply computer security policies and endpoint protection requirements
- Escalate complex or production-critical technical issues
- Provide urgent support when shop-floor systems affect factory operations
- Maintain IT equipment, asset, and inventory records
- Document service activities, configurations, repairs, and equipment changes
- Set up and replace computers, scanners, printers, and related hardware
- Move and install equipment weighing up to 50 pounds
- Perform technical support activities throughout office and manufacturing areas
Pay Details: $20.00 to $25.00 per hour
