Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Agricultural Engineering, or a related technical field
  • Equivalent relevant technical experience may be considered
  • 3 or more years of experience in computer engineering, computer science, embedded software, or a related field
  • Proficiency with a modern programming language such as C#, C++, or Java
  • Expertise in C programming
  • Experience with object-oriented software design
  • Understanding of embedded software development workflows from requirements through machine validation
  • Experience developing software tools, utilities, or automation scripts
  • Experience supporting embedded software users and development environments

Preferred Skills

  • Advanced degree in Engineering or Computer Science
  • Experience with GNU Make
  • Experience with Python
  • Knowledge of Controller Area Network protocols
  • Knowledge of Unified Diagnostic Services
  • Experience delivering software products using Agile development processes
  • Familiarity with OpenRTOS or comparable real-time operating systems
  • Experience supporting embedded build systems, toolchains, or developer platforms

Job Responsibilities

  • Develop tools and scripts that improve embedded software development efficiency
  • Improve developer workflows and user experience for OpenRTOS-based software development
  • Create and maintain automation for build, test, integration, and validation activities
  • Support users of embedded software development tools and environments
  • Investigate and resolve toolchain, scripting, and workflow issues
  • Design software utilities using C, C++, C#, Java, Python, or related technologies
  • Apply object-oriented design principles to software tool development
  • Support embedded software activities from requirements development through machine validation
  • Define and develop next-generation tools for embedded software engineering teams
  • Evaluate existing tools and identify opportunities for automation and process improvement
  • Support CAN and UDS-related development workflows when applicable
  • Maintain technical documentation for tools, scripts, build processes, and user procedures
  • Support software planning, development, testing, and delivery activities within Agile processes


Pay Details: $40.00 to $60.00 per hour
