Industrial electrical and controls technician role focused on troubleshooting production equipment, automation systems, and recurring equipment issues.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience working on production equipment
  • Two-year degree from a vocational school in industrial electronics and controls
  • 2+ years of industrial electrical and controls experience
  • Experience with Allen Bradley programmable logic controller products
  • Experience with ladder diagram logic
  • Experience troubleshooting 480V 3-phase systems down to 5V DC
  • Experience with PLCs, VFDs, motor starters, I/O, and PID loops
  • Experience diagnosing electrical and controls issues independently
  • Experience with high-speed production equipment
  • Experience sustaining plant production through electrical and controls troubleshooting
  • Knowledge of electrical tools, including oscilloscopes, multimeters, amp meters, megohmmeters, power meters, and process meters
  • Computer skills related to report writing, presentations, spreadsheets, and project management
  • Experience using Microsoft Office products
  • Experience accessing, modifying, uploading, and downloading PLC and PanelView programs
  • Experience using common hand tools and power tools

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot electrical and controls issues on production equipment
  • Diagnose issues across 480V 3-phase, low-voltage DC, PLC, VFD, motor starter, I/O, and PID loop systems
  • Maintain and support automation systems used in manufacturing operations
  • Access, modify, upload, and download PLC and PanelView programs
  • Use electrical testing tools to evaluate equipment performance and identify faults
  • Repair and support high-speed production equipment
  • Reduce downtime through equipment troubleshooting and corrective action
  • Identify recurring equipment issues and support long-term fixes
  • Improve equipment efficiency through electrical and controls support
  • Document troubleshooting activity, equipment issues, and project-related updates


Pay Details: $30.00 to $41.00 per hour
