Component Engineer, Part Creation
Electrical Component Engineer responsible for electronic component selection, specification analysis, technical data maintenance, and process documentation support.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from an accredited engineering program
- Proficiency with Excel
- Experience selecting components based on specifications and reliability analysis
- Experience analyzing technical requirements
- Experience working within established engineering processes
- Experience developing recommendations within established guidelines
- Experience maintaining databases, files, or spreadsheets
- Experience verifying accuracy and completeness of data submissions and forms
- Experience entering technical data into systems according to standard procedures
- Ability to read and understand technical requirements
- Ability to analyze intermediate technical information
- Ability to resolve data discrepancies using prescribed procedures
Preferred Skills
- Experience in electronic circuit design
- Experience making preliminary selections or adaptations of engineering alternatives
- Experience interfacing with purchasing
- Experience interfacing with receiving inspection
- Experience interfacing with distribution teams
- Experience interfacing with manufacturer representatives
- Ability to understand electronic component types
- Ability to understand general circuit functions of electronic components
- Ability to locate component parameters from datasheets
Responsibilities
- Select electronic components based on specification and reliability analysis
- Analyze technical requirements to determine solutions for routine problems or projects
- Communicate technical findings through reports, correspondence, and process documentation
- Provide input to design solutions
- Participate in design reviews
- Develop recommendations within established engineering guidelines
- Update and maintain databases, files, and spreadsheets
- Verify data submissions and forms for accuracy and completeness
- Enter data into appropriate systems according to standard procedures
- Respond to standard inquiries
- Research and resolve discrepancies using prescribed procedures
- Refer complex requests to appropriate staff members
- Update and maintain process documentation
- Retrieve records and data for department members or external customers
- Distribute technical information as required
- Perform data analysis and discrepancy resolution for assigned project work
Pay Details: $25.00 to $29.00 per hour
