Job Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related engineering discipline
  • 4+ years of relevant engineering design experience
  • 4+ years of Classic Ansys or mechanical FEA design experience
  • 4+ years of NX CAD experience
  • Experience developing finite element models
  • Experience evaluating hardware under thermal and mechanical boundary conditions
  • Knowledge of GD&T standards
  • Experience interpreting engineering drawings
  • Experience performing tolerance stackups
  • Experience using PLM or Teamcenter configuration management tools
  • US Person status required for access to export-controlled material

Job Responsibilities

  • Support reliability and availability of gas turbine fleet components
  • Develop and execute high-fidelity finite element models
  • Evaluate gas turbine hardware under complex thermal and mechanical boundary conditions
  • Perform lifing analyses, including LCF, HCF, creep, oxidation, and fracture mechanics
  • Conduct structural, modal, and forced response analyses
  • Interpret dynamic analysis results
  • Create Campbell diagrams to characterize component behavior
  • Provide technical support for urgent field engineering requests
  • Support root cause analysis investigations
  • Identify component failure mechanisms
  • Develop long-term engineering solutions for component issues
  • Prepare technical presentations for design reviews and internal stakeholders
  • Communicate analytical findings and design recommendations
  • Use NX CAD and PLM or Teamcenter tools to support design and configuration management


Pay Details: $25.00 to $30.00 per hour
