Factory Automation / Controls Engineer
Controls engineering role focused on electrical systems, PLC/HMI programming, MES and SCADA integration, shop floor connectivity, and production support.
Job Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Mechatronics or related engineering discipline, or 3+ years of related work experience
Engineering background in electrical, controls, computer, or related discipline
PLC programming experience
Computer programming experience
SQL experience
Knowledge of electrical design
Knowledge of electrical codes and common practices
Experience with engineering tools used for electrical and controls work
Knowledge of MES or SCADA solutions, including SAP-MES, AMES, JDAAT, Ignition, or similar systems
Knowledge of process control
Knowledge of process scheduling
Knowledge of manufacturing mistake-proofing
Knowledge of shop floor device connectivity
Project management experience
Experience managing multiple concurrent projects
Preferred Skills
3+ years of experience in electrical, controls, computer, or related engineering areas
3+ years of experience with engineering tools, systems, and databases
3+ years of electrical design and troubleshooting experience
3+ years of PLC or PC programming experience
2+ years of project management experience with moderate to large complex projects
Experience integrating shop floor equipment with MES and PLC systems
Experience supporting production downtime situations
Experience coordinating with cross-functional teams, outside design professionals, and contractors
Job Responsibilities
Design and update electrical systems for machines, shop floor tooling, and equipment
Create and update electrical prints and programs for machines, tooling, and equipment
Develop and maintain HMI and PLC programs
Create and maintain interfaces for communication between shop floor tools, PLC controls, SCADA, and MES systems
Lead and execute intermediate to complex controls engineering tasks
Coordinate engineering activities across cross-functional teams, outside design professionals, and contractors as needed
Respond to critical production downtime situations affecting manufacturing and maintenance activities
Support installation and networking of shop floor machines, equipment, and tooling
Integrate shop floor equipment into site MES and PLC systems
Support process control, process scheduling, mistake-proofing, and shop floor device connectivity
Pay: 35-40/hr

Pay Details: $35.00 to $40.00 per hour
