CNC Machinist needed to perform CNC setups, operate machining equipment, troubleshoot programs, maintain tooling, and produce parts to quality and ISO standards.

Job Requirements

  • 5–10 years of CNC experience in a manufacturing environment
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Lathe or mill-turn experience required
  • Full understanding of setup and operation in at least two machining fields, such as:
    • Mills
    • Chucker lathes
    • Swiss lathes
    • Grinders
    • Wire EDMs
  • Ability to perform simple to complex CNC machine setups
  • Ability to operate conventional, special-purpose, and CNC machines
  • Ability to read blueprints
  • Knowledge of GD&T
  • Complete knowledge of G and M codes
  • Knowledge of machine shop theory and procedures
  • Knowledge of shop mathematics
  • Knowledge of machinability of materials
  • Knowledge of layout techniques
  • Ability to troubleshoot CNC programs
  • Ability to maintain tooling
  • Ability to run multiple machines or setups at one time

Preferred Skills

  • CNC programming experience
  • Ability to edit CNC programs
  • CMM operation experience
  • Experience training employees on CNC equipment or machining processes
  • Experience with ISO quality standards
  • Experience fitting and assembling machined parts into complete units
  • Experience verifying machine settings against programmed control data

Job Responsibilities

  • Perform simple to complex setups on CNC equipment
  • Operate CNC machines and machining centers
  • Operate conventional and special-purpose machines as needed
  • Fabricate metallic and nonmetallic parts
  • Fit and assemble machined parts into complete units
  • Troubleshoot CNC programs, machine settings, and tooling issues
  • Maintain tooling used in machining operations
  • Train employees on required CNC processes and equipment operation
  • Ensure required processes are completed to produce parts that meet quality and ISO standards
  • Set up and operate machines on trial runs to verify machine settings
  • Confirm programmed control data supports machine functionality and performance
  • Run multiple setups or machines at one time
  • Operate CMM equipment if required


Pay Details: $30.00 to $44.00 per hour
