CNC Machinist
Set up, operate, and perform basic programming of machining equipment to produce precision metal components from engineering drawings.
Job Requirements
- Hands-on metal machining experience
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints
- Experience performing machine setups
- Basic CNC programming experience
- Experience operating machining equipment
- Ability to make manual machining adjustments based on part condition and cutting performance
- Knowledge of machining processes, tooling, speeds, feeds, and dimensional requirements
- Ownership of basic machinist tools
- Experience using precision measuring instruments
Preferred Skills
- Gear-cutting experience
- CNC machining experience
- Manual machining experience
- Experience with precision metal components
- Experience troubleshooting machining and setup issues
- Experience making tool offsets or minor program adjustments
Job Responsibilities
- Read and interpret blueprints and machining specifications
- Set up machining equipment for production runs
- Perform basic machine programming and program adjustments
- Operate machining equipment to produce metal components
- Select and install appropriate cutting tools
- Adjust tooling, speeds, feeds, and machine settings as needed
- Inspect machined parts for dimensional accuracy
- Use machinist tools and precision measuring equipment
- Identify and correct machining, tooling, and setup issues
- Perform gear-cutting operations when required
- Maintain machining equipment and assigned work areas
Pay Details: $28.00 to $34.00 per hour
