Fabricator
MIG Welder responsible for steel welding, blueprint interpretation, and metal fabrication work in a production or fabrication environment.
Requirements
- Experience with MIG welding
- Experience welding steel
- Experience reading and interpreting blueprints
- Experience working in metal fabrication
- Ability to pass a weld test
- Knowledge of welding procedures and shop safety practices
- Experience using fabrication tools and welding equipment
Preferred Skills
- Experience with production welding
- Experience with structural steel welding
- Experience with fabricated metal assemblies
- Experience preparing materials for welding
- Experience inspecting weld quality
- Experience grinding, fitting, measuring, and assembling metal parts
Responsibilities
- Perform MIG welding on steel components
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work instructions
- Fabricate metal parts and assemblies
- Set up welding equipment for assigned work
- Measure, fit, and align components before welding
- Inspect completed welds for quality and accuracy
- Grind, clean, and prepare welded parts as needed
- Follow welding procedures and safety requirements
- Support production and fabrication work as assigned
Pay Details: $15.00 to $21.00 per hour
