Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED

  • Experience operating a saw, with 1 to 3 years preferred

  • Ability to read blueprints or technical drawings

  • Ability to read and interpret a tape measure

  • Basic math skills

  • Ability to set stops and guides to specified lengths

  • Ability to use measurement tools to ensure accuracy

  • Crane experience

  • Forklift experience preferred

  • Ability to lift 50 to 70 lbs

Preferred Skills

  • Experience cutting steel fabricated materials

  • Experience setting up and adjusting saw machines for different jobs

  • Experience identifying defects or production issues during machine operation

  • Experience completing production paperwork accurately

  • Experience packing and transporting finished pieces

Job Responsibilities

  • Cut steel fabricated material according to job requirements

  • Read blueprints and technical drawings to determine cut specifications

  • Set up the saw machine and make adjustments for each job

  • Set stops and guides to specified lengths

  • Operate the saw machine and monitor for defects or issues

  • Use measurement tools to verify cut accuracy

  • Help pack and transport finished pieces

  • Complete required paperwork accurately

  • Maintain general housekeeping of the work area and machine

Pay: 18-20/hr

Pay Details: $18.00 to $20.00 per hour
