Quality Engineer responsible for AS9100 compliance, root cause and corrective action, First Article Inspection, audit support, and quality improvement across manufacturing and design programs.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree.

  • 5+ years of relevant quality, manufacturing, or engineering experience.

  • Working experience with AS9100 Quality Management Systems.

  • Experience leading failure analysis, root cause analysis, corrective action, and preventive action activities.

  • Experience providing technical program support for manufacturing and/or design processes.

  • Experience supporting quality requirements across product, assembly, and test documentation.

  • Experience participating in or supporting internal, customer, and third-party audits.

Preferred Skills

  • Six Sigma, Lean, and/or American Society for Quality (ASQ) certification.

  • Experience reviewing purchase orders, customer drawings, and Corrective Action Requests (CARs).

  • Experience leading customer audits.

  • Experience presenting, reviewing, or approving engineering or quality changes through a formal Change Board.

  • Experience with risk mitigation and opportunity management.

  • Experience with First Article Inspection requirements per AS9102.

  • Experience with Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP).

  • Experience with Production Part Approval Process (PPAP).

  • Experience with process certification.

  • Experience using 8D methodology, 5 Whys, statistical process control (SPC), and related quality tools.

  • Experience with Cost of Poor Quality (CoPQ) improvement initiatives.

  • Experience supporting formal continuous improvement frameworks.

Job Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement proactive quality strategies across manufacturing and design programs.

  • Support quality, cost, and schedule performance throughout program execution.

  • Develop quality improvement and Cost of Poor Quality reduction projects.

  • Lead root cause and corrective action investigations.

  • Facilitate internal and customer First Article Inspection reviews.

  • Support First Article Inspection activities in accordance with AS9102.

  • Prepare for and participate in customer, regulatory, third-party, and internal audits.

  • Review manufacturing and design processes for compliance with AS9100 requirements.

  • Translate system and contractual requirements into product, assembly, and test documentation.

  • Review purchase orders, customer drawings, and corrective action requests.

  • Support formal change review and approval processes.

  • Perform quality risk assessment and mitigation activities.

  • Analyze quality data and prepare reports for program and quality reviews.

  • Support cross-functional quality initiatives involving manufacturing, engineering, suppliers, and program teams.



Pay Details: $33.00 to $45.00 per hour
