Supplier Quality Engineer

Supplier Quality Engineer responsible for supplier quality oversight, raw material quality, and manufacturing process compliance within the medical device industry.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline.

• 2+ years of supplier quality experience within the medical device industry.

• Experience with fabrication processes.

• Experience with forging processes.

• Experience with machining processes.

• Experience with stamping processes.

• Knowledge of metal and steel raw materials.

• Experience evaluating supplier manufacturing processes and product quality.

• Experience supporting supplier-related quality investigations and corrective actions.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with supplier audits and supplier qualification activities.

• Experience reviewing material certifications and raw material specifications.

• Experience with nonconformance investigations and root cause analysis.

• Experience with corrective and preventive action processes.

• Knowledge of medical device quality system requirements.

• Experience with incoming inspection and supplier performance monitoring.

• Experience supporting metal component suppliers.

Job Responsibilities

• Evaluate and monitor supplier quality performance.

• Support qualification and approval of new suppliers.

• Review supplier manufacturing processes including fabrication, forging, machining, and stamping.

• Assess metal and steel raw material requirements and supporting certifications.

• Investigate supplier-related quality issues and nonconforming material.

• Lead or support supplier corrective action activities.

• Perform supplier audits and process reviews.

• Review supplier documentation, inspection records, and material certifications.

• Support incoming inspection and supplier quality controls.

• Track supplier quality metrics and recurring defect trends.

• Coordinate supplier quality activities with engineering, manufacturing, and purchasing functions.

• Maintain supplier quality documentation in accordance with applicable medical device quality requirements.

Pay:40-50/hr

Pay Details: $40.00 to $50.00 per hour
