Senior Embedded Systems Test Engineer responsible for designing, developing, integrating, and validating complex embedded test systems for aerospace, defense, and industrial applications.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent technical discipline.
  • 10+ years of relevant engineering experience.
  • Strong experience integrating National Instruments hardware.
  • Experience developing embedded C-based systems.
  • Expertise in data acquisition systems and signal conditioning.
  • Experience with real-time control systems.
  • Knowledge of communication protocols including CAN/J1939, ARINC, RS-232, RS-422, RS-485, SPI, and I2C.
  • Experience developing detailed test procedures and validation plans.
  • Experience designing and building test fixtures.
  • Experience executing structured system-level and subsystem-level validation testing.
  • Experience integrating analog and digital interfaces.
  • Experience with NI PXI, RIO, or FlexRIO platforms.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience supporting large-scale test rigs with 10,000+ I/O points.
  • SQL or database development experience for automation, data logging, or telemetry.
  • Experience developing database-driven test applications.
  • Experience building configurable GUIs and operator interfaces.
  • Experience developing automated test frameworks.
  • National Instruments Certified LabVIEW Developer (CLD) certification.
  • National Instruments Certified LabVIEW Architect (CLA) certification.
  • Experience with aerospace, defense, or other mission-critical systems.

Job Responsibilities

  • Design and implement test methods for validating and troubleshooting complex systems, subsystems, and hardware.
  • Develop and maintain test fixtures, diagnostic programs, test specifications, and supporting documentation.
  • Develop detailed system-level and subsystem-level test plans.
  • Perform validation testing on products, subsystems, hardware, and manufacturing processes.
  • Plan test labor, schedules, hardware, equipment, and facility requirements.
  • Develop scalable, database-driven test applications and automation frameworks.
  • Create configurable operator interfaces and GUIs for test systems.
  • Integrate NI PXI, RIO, and FlexRIO hardware into automated test environments.
  • Integrate industrial sensors, communication buses, and custom analog and digital interfaces.
  • Support large-scale integration rigs and high-channel-count I/O systems.
  • Develop embedded C software for test and control applications.
  • Configure and troubleshoot DAQ, signal conditioning, communication, and real-time control systems.
  • Improve test predictability, equipment utilization, manufacturing test processes, and validation efficiency.
  • Maintain test procedures, validation records, configuration data, and technical documentation.
  • Support new product development and production validation activities.


Pay Details: $56.00 to $75.00 per hour
