5-Axis CNC Programmer responsible for developing efficient machining programs, verifying tool paths, and creating accurate setup documentation for precision manufacturing operations.

Job Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience with 5-axis CNC programming.
  • Experience using Vericut verification software or equivalent machining simulation software.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and work instructions.
  • Knowledge of machining methods, tooling, tool paths, and CNC programming techniques.
  • Knowledge of AS9100 or similar quality system requirements.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience developing efficient machining strategies for complex components.
  • Experience with standardized tooling packages and machining cells.
  • Experience identifying programming errors, incorrect geometry, and potential tool collisions through simulation.
  • Experience creating tool lists, setup sketches, and machining setup documentation.

Job Responsibilities

  • Determine efficient machining methods using appropriate tool paths, techniques, and tooling.
  • Develop and optimize CNC programs for 5-axis machining operations.
  • Create detailed setup instructions, tool lists, and setup sketches.
  • Verify CNC programs using Vericut or equivalent software to identify geometry errors, tool crashes, and other programming issues.
  • Utilize defined standard tooling packages when applicable for designated machining cells.
  • Review engineering drawings and work instructions to determine machining requirements.
  • Ensure machining programs and processes comply with applicable quality system requirements and customer-invoked standards, including AS9100.


Pay Details: $40.00 to $60.00 per hour
