TIG Welders

Welder / Fabricator responsible for laying out, fabricating, welding, machining, and inspecting complex production and experimental metal parts and assemblies.

Job Requirements

• 2+ years of TIG welding experience required.
• Experience with MIG welding.
• Experience with spot welding.
• Experience fabricating sheet metal parts and assemblies.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, sketches, work instructions, charts, tables, formulas, job layouts, and electronic work orders.
• Experience working from raw materials through completed assemblies.
• Experience inspecting fabricated parts against dimensional and tolerance requirements.
• Knowledge of fabrication and welding processes.
• Experience using hand tools and fabrication equipment.
• Ability to work within established manufacturing procedures and process requirements.

Preferred Skills

• Experience fabricating intricate or experimental components.
• Experience with manual mills and lathes.
• Experience operating shears, brakes, drills, and sanders.
• Experience with degreasing processes.
• Experience with spray painting.
• Experience with silk screening.
• Experience supporting nonconformance activities.
• Experience fabricating final assemblies in a production environment.

Job Responsibilities

• Plan fabrication work and component layouts.
• Set up and fabricate production and experimental sheet metal parts.
• Fabricate final assemblies from raw materials.
• Perform TIG, MIG, and spot welding operations.
• Operate shears, brakes, drills, sanders, manual mills, and lathes.
• Perform degreasing, painting, and silk-screening processes as required.
• Follow blueprints, sketches, work instructions, formulas, charts, and job layouts.
• Inspect fabricated components and assemblies against specified tolerances.
• Identify fabrication, welding, and dimensional issues during production.
• Perform rework or corrections according to established procedures.
• Support nonconformance-related fabrication activities.
• Maintain fabrication equipment and work areas in accordance with applicable manufacturing procedures.

Pay Details: $20.00 to $26.00 per hour
