Principal Product Performance Trending Engineer

Lead post-market quality activities for medical devices through complaint trending, signal detection, statistical analysis, and technical documentation.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.

• 7+ years of experience in the medical device industry.

• Experience with post-market surveillance.

• Experience with complaint handling and complaint trending.

• Experience with product reliability analysis.

• Experience performing product complaint signal detection.

• Experience applying basic-to-intermediate statistical methods.

• Experience with statistical reasoning and data interpretation.

• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.

• Experience authoring technical documentation and documented quality rationales.

Preferred Skills

• Experience analyzing large complaint or post-market data sets.

• Experience developing complaint trend reports and quality metrics.

• Experience supporting product quality investigations.

• Experience with risk-based post-market analysis.

• Experience managing quality or reliability projects.

• Experience supporting cross-functional medical device quality activities.

Job Responsibilities

• Perform post-market surveillance activities for released medical devices.

• Analyze product complaint data for trends, signals, and emerging quality issues.

• Develop and maintain complaint trending methodologies and reports.

• Apply statistical techniques to evaluate complaint rates, reliability data, and product performance.

• Perform signal detection and determine when additional investigation or escalation is required.

• Prepare technical reports, quality rationales, and supporting documentation.

• Support complaint investigations and product reliability assessments.

• Develop data analyses and reports using advanced Microsoft Excel.

• Track post-market quality metrics and identify changes in product performance.

• Support risk evaluations associated with post-market quality signals.

• Lead or coordinate quality projects related to complaint trending, surveillance, and reliability.

• Coordinate technical evaluations with engineering, quality, regulatory, and other product support functions.

Pay: 60-75/hr

Pay Details: $60.00 to $75.00 per hour
