Quality Lab Tech
Perform sample preparation, laboratory testing, microscopy, equipment operation, and real-time documentation in a regulated medical device analytical laboratory.
Job Requirements
Experience performing laboratory testing or sample preparation.
Ability to follow established test methods, protocols, and laboratory procedures.
Experience documenting test activities and results accurately in real time.
Experience with sample registration, labeling, traceability, and storage.
Experience operating laboratory or analytical equipment.
Ability to perform equipment setup, cleaning, calibration, and troubleshooting.
Experience working with laboratory documentation and controlled procedures.
Knowledge of laboratory safety and chemical handling requirements.
Preferred Skills
2-year technical degree in metallurgical, electronic, mechanical, or related technical discipline.
Experience working in a highly regulated laboratory environment.
Experience with Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS).
Knowledge of ISO 17025 requirements.
Knowledge of cGMP requirements.
Knowledge of FDA requirements.
Knowledge of ICH requirements.
Experience in medical device testing or quality control.
Experience with Lean, Lean Sigma, or Six Sigma methodologies.
Experience with metallographic sample preparation.
Experience using microscopes for dimensional measurement and surface evaluation.
Job Responsibilities
Support quality control, product support, and product development testing.
Register, label, track, and store laboratory samples.
Prepare samples using sectioning, mounting, grinding, polishing, and surface etching techniques.
Operate trim saws and automated milling equipment.
Perform sample mounting using applicable mounting media.
Operate Abrapol and Tegramin grinding and polishing equipment.
Perform surface etching using acids according to approved procedures.
Use microscopes to perform dimensional measurements and evaluate surface features.
Set up, clean, calibrate, troubleshoot, and operate laboratory equipment.
Document test protocols, observations, and data in real time.
Review, authorize, and report laboratory test results.
Author and revise laboratory processes and controlled documentation.
Support equipment and process qualification activities.
Prepare chemical solutions used in laboratory testing.
Maintain inventories of laboratory consumables and supplies.
Participate in continuous improvement projects.
Perform laboratory activities in accordance with procedures, departmental policies, ISO 17025, and applicable regulatory requirements.
Pay: 20-25/hr

Pay Details: $20.00 to $25.00 per hour
