Maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and improve SMT and circuit card assembly manufacturing equipment, including automated optical inspection systems.

Job Requirements

  • 10+ years of relevant manufacturing equipment maintenance or technical experience.

  • SMT manufacturing experience.

  • Automated Optical Inspection (AOI) experience.

  • Experience maintaining and troubleshooting in-line manufacturing equipment.

  • Working knowledge of electronics, pneumatics, hydraulics, and mechanical systems.

  • Experience using mechanical hand tools, power tools, soldering equipment, and electronic test equipment.

  • Ability to read and interpret detailed drawings, diagrams, schematics, specifications, prints, and equipment manuals.

  • Experience performing preventive and corrective maintenance.

  • Experience diagnosing equipment failures and replacing defective components or modules.

  • Knowledge of ESD requirements.

  • Knowledge of printed wiring board handling requirements.

  • Ability to work first or second shift and possible weekends as required.

  • Ability to work around chemicals used in electronics manufacturing environments.

Preferred Skills

  • Associate degree or vocational certificate in a technical discipline.

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline.

  • Experience with Mycronic pick-and-place equipment.

  • Experience with Universal Instruments pick-and-place equipment.

  • Experience with Koh Young or YesTech AOI equipment.

  • Experience with SMT circuit card assembly inline wash equipment.

  • Experience with MPM screen printers.

  • Experience supporting First Piece Certification.

  • Experience with electronic component identification.

  • Experience redesigning or modifying basic optical, vacuum, electrical, electronic, or mechanical equipment systems.

Job Responsibilities

  • Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair SMT and circuit card assembly manufacturing equipment.

  • Monitor and evaluate manufacturing equipment performance.

  • Perform preventive maintenance and corrective maintenance on production equipment.

  • Diagnose mechanical, electrical, electronic, pneumatic, hydraulic, and control-related equipment failures.

  • Perform immediate equipment repairs to minimize production downtime.

  • Troubleshoot and maintain automated optical inspection equipment.

  • Support pick-and-place machines, screen printers, inline wash systems, and related SMT equipment.

  • Replace defective equipment components and modules.

  • Use drawings, schematics, specifications, manuals, and test equipment to troubleshoot manufacturing systems.

  • Modify or redesign basic equipment systems when required to improve existing manufacturing equipment.

  • Maintain maintenance, inventory, equipment performance, and repair records.

  • Support equipment performance improvement and manufacturing process optimization activities.

  • Estimate maintenance labor or equipment requirements and prepare requisitions as needed.

  • Support production, process, product, quality, and test engineering activities related to manufacturing equipment.

  • Follow applicable ESD, PWB handling, equipment safety, and manufacturing training requirements.

Pay Details: $24.00 to $35.00 per hour
