Leads full-lifecycle systems engineering, integration, test, and validation activities for complex multidisciplinary hardware and software systems.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics (STEM), or a related technical field with 10+ years of relevant experience.
  • Advanced degree in a related field with 7+ years of relevant experience, or 14+ years of relevant experience without a degree.
  • Active and transferable U.S. government Secret-level security clearance required prior to start.
  • U.S. citizenship required.
  • Experience across the full Systems Engineering V lifecycle, from CONOPS development through sustainment.
  • Experience with system integration and test activities.
  • Experience with digital twins, test procedures, test automation, test execution, and/or test reporting.
  • Proficiency with systems engineering and program tools such as Cameo, Rhapsody, Microsoft applications, Jira, IBM Engineering Workflow Management, or similar platforms.
  • Knowledge or application of Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS).
  • Experience leading multidisciplinary engineering teams across electrical, mechanical, software, test, logistics, and systems engineering disciplines.
  • Experience managing design reviews, integration activities, dry runs, and formal qualification testing.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with Survivable Mobile Command Center architectures and operations.
  • Experience supporting software and hardware development.
  • Experience with system or application integration.
  • Experience with SATCOM, LOS/BLOS, AEHF, VHF, or UHF communication systems.
  • Experience with computer networking for ground-based, ship, submarine, or airborne platforms.
  • Experience with scripting languages.
  • Experience with model-based systems engineering.
  • Experience developing and maintaining scalable system ontologies and interface models.

Job Responsibilities

  • Lead development of full-lifecycle system solutions from CONOPS through verification, validation, and sustainment.
  • Coordinate systems engineering activities with customers, subcontractors, technical teams, and program leadership.
  • Plan and lead laboratory setup, configuration management, integration, and testing activities.
  • Ensure modeling, hardware, and software interfaces use scalable system architectures and ontologies.
  • Develop and maintain system requirements, interfaces, models, and engineering documentation.
  • Plan and manage design reviews, integration events, dry runs, and formal qualification testing.
  • Manage technical scope, cost, schedule, and execution for assigned engineering activities.
  • Develop and execute integration and test strategies, procedures, automation, and reporting.
  • Review major system and process changes and document technical impacts.
  • Develop recommended technical approaches for complex system-level problems.
  • Support software, hardware, network, and communication system integration.
  • Provide technical oversight and guidance to systems engineering personnel.
  • Support Earned Value Management activities associated with engineering execution.


Pay Details: $85.00 to $64.00 per hour
