Develops, integrates, tests, and supports embedded software for real-time systems across Windows, Linux, and embedded operating environments.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 2 years of related experience, graduate degree with 0–2 years of related experience, or a minimum of 6 years of related experience in lieu of a degree.

  • U.S. citizenship required.

  • Ability to pass a background check.

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance.

  • Experience with software development across requirements, design, implementation, integration, and testing.

  • Experience working with embedded devices or systems.

Preferred Skills

  • Proficiency with C++.

  • Experience with object-oriented software development using C++.

  • Experience with embedded real-time software development in Linux.

  • Experience with high-performance and multithreaded programming.

  • Experience developing and troubleshooting software on embedded targets.

  • Experience with embedded systems design.

  • Knowledge of programming languages, compilers, and application execution.

  • Experience supporting Department of Defense programs.

  • Knowledge of signal processing.

  • Knowledge of control systems.

  • Knowledge of electronic warfare systems.

  • Knowledge of computer networking.

  • Knowledge of IP, UDP, TCP, and Protobuf protocols.

Job Responsibilities

  • Develop software for embedded devices and systems from requirements through production and support.

  • Develop operational performance requirements for embedded systems.

  • Integrate software with hardware components.

  • Support system and subsystem design activities.

  • Perform software requirements analysis, design, implementation, integration, and formal testing.

  • Develop and maintain software test plans, procedures, and technical documentation.

  • Participate in peer reviews.

  • Identify, track, troubleshoot, and resolve software defects.

  • Develop and troubleshoot software using Windows, Linux, and embedded real-time operating systems.

  • Support integration and troubleshooting activities on embedded hardware targets.

  • Work with systems engineering, test engineering, and program teams throughout software development.

  • Support software estimates, bids, and proposal inputs for customer and government requests.

Pay: 40-60/hr

Pay Details: $40.00 to $60.00 per hour
