Test Engineer I

Execute verification and validation testing, investigate test failures, and support reprocessing and sterilization activities for regulated medical device development.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related engineering or technical discipline

• Zero to two years of relevant engineering experience

• Experience or academic exposure to verification and validation testing

• Ability to translate product requirements into repeatable test protocols

• Experience executing test protocols and documenting test results

• Knowledge of test acceptance criteria and sample-size considerations

• Understanding of Test Method Validation

• Experience analyzing engineering test data

• Experience troubleshooting test failures and supporting root cause analysis

• Ability to safely perform reprocessing and sterilization testing

• Experience or knowledge of autoclave sterilization

• Ability to evaluate product performance following reprocessing or sterilization

• Ability to work onsite four days per week

Preferred Skills

• Medical device or regulated product development experience

• Experience supporting research and development engineering teams

• Experience developing verification and validation protocols and reports

• Experience with Test Method Validation

• Experience with medical device reprocessing studies

• Experience with sterilization testing

• Experience with navigation or enabling medical technologies

• Experience supporting product reliability or sustaining engineering activities

Job Responsibilities

• Translate engineering and product requirements into verification and validation test protocols

• Develop and execute repeatable engineering test procedures

• Document verification and validation test results

• Prepare test protocols and technical reports

• Establish and apply test acceptance criteria

• Support sample-size determination and Test Method Validation activities

• Analyze test data and identify performance trends or failures

• Troubleshoot test failures and support root cause investigations

• Execute product reprocessing and autoclave sterilization testing

• Evaluate the effects of repeated processing and sterilization on product performance

• Document test anomalies, findings, and corrective actions

• Support verification and validation activities for research and development programs

• Support product reliability and engineering testing for navigation and enabling technologies

Pay: 29-39/hr

Pay Details: $29.00 to $39.00 per hour
