Cleared Software Engineer

Design, develop, integrate, and test software systems supporting complex hardware and software products throughout the full development lifecycle.

Job Requirements

• Experience designing and developing computer software systems
• Experience supporting software development in conjunction with hardware product development
• Experience across the full software development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, design, implementation, integration, and testing
• Knowledge of computer science, engineering, and mathematical analysis principles
• Experience developing software interfaces between hardware and software systems
• Experience defining and evaluating operational performance requirements
• Experience developing software test procedures and software documentation
• Experience estimating and validating software development cost, scope, and technical effort
• Experience managing large and complex software development initiatives
• In-depth knowledge of software project management
• Subject matter expertise within software engineering or a related technical discipline

Preferred Skills

• Experience developing software for complex embedded, hardware-integrated, or mission-critical systems
• Experience defining system and software architectures
• Experience with software verification and validation
• Experience supporting multidisciplinary engineering programs
• Experience developing technical estimates for software schedules and resource requirements
• Experience implementing software process and system improvements
• Experience contributing to new product or process development

Job Responsibilities

• Research, design, and develop computer software systems
• Design and develop software products for multiple applications
• Perform software requirements analysis
• Develop software architectures and detailed designs
• Implement, integrate, and test software applications
• Develop and evaluate hardware and software interfaces
• Analyze operational performance requirements and overall system design
• Develop software test procedures and supporting test programs
• Create and maintain software design, development, and test documentation
• Estimate software development scope, cost, schedule, and technical requirements
• Validate software estimates against program constraints
• Lead large and complex software project initiatives
• Provide technical direction for software engineering activities
• Develop and implement improvements to software processes, systems, and products
• Support development and implementation of new products and engineering processes
• Develop operational plans supporting software program objectives

Pay Details: $56.00 to $75.00 per hour
