Cleared Info Security Systems Engineers
Design, implement, assess, and sustain secure information systems while supporting RMF authorization and cybersecurity compliance requirements.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of four years of relevant experience, graduate degree with a minimum of two years of relevant experience, or at least eight years of relevant experience without a degree
- Active TS/SCI clearance
- IAT Level II certification, such as Security+ CE, CCNA Security, or equivalent, or ability to obtain within three months of start
- Experience preparing and managing Assessment and Authorization documentation
- Experience applying the NIST Risk Management Framework
- Knowledge of DoD 8510, JSIG, ICD-503, CNSSI 1253, or related authorization frameworks
- Experience supporting system Authorization to Operate activities
- Experience analyzing system requirements and deriving security requirements and controls
- Experience performing security assessments, gap analyses, and risk evaluations
- Experience researching vulnerabilities and identifying mitigation or remediation approaches
- Experience implementing and validating cybersecurity controls
- Experience with Linux and Windows system hardening
- Experience with secure configuration, patch management, and vulnerability remediation
- Ability to work 100% onsite
Preferred Skills
- Experience with STIG and SRG compliance validation
- Experience with automated compliance scanning tools
- Experience with intrusion detection and prevention systems
- Experience with vulnerability scanners
- Experience with endpoint protection technologies
- Security+, CISSP, or related cybersecurity certification
- Knowledge of cloud computing security
- Knowledge of containerization and microservices security
- Understanding of security control inheritance in cloud environments
- Familiarity with DevSecOps practices
- Experience with CI/CD pipeline security
- Knowledge of infrastructure-as-code security principles
- Experience within defense, aerospace, government contracting, or critical infrastructure environments
Job Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain Assessment and Authorization documentation using RMF and applicable derivative processes
- Support system security authorization and ATO activities
- Design, integrate, and maintain secure on-premises system architectures
- Apply cybersecurity engineering and security-by-design principles throughout the system lifecycle
- Analyze system requirements and develop associated cybersecurity requirements and controls
- Perform information system security assessments, gap analyses, and risk evaluations
- Research vulnerabilities, technical impacts, remediation methods, and mitigation strategies
- Support implementation and validation of cybersecurity controls
- Harden Linux and Windows systems according to applicable security requirements
- Support secure configuration management, patching, and vulnerability remediation
- Perform STIG and security compliance assessments
- Develop information security policies, standards, procedures, and technical documentation
- Support cybersecurity audits, inspections, and customer assessments
- Prepare technical evidence supporting security compliance and authorization activities
- Document cybersecurity risks, findings, vulnerabilities, and remediation actions
- Support security engineering activities across enterprise and program information systems
Pay Details: $51.00 to $69.00 per hour
