Provides production engineering support for regulated medical devices by diagnosing mechanical, electrical, and software issues, improving manufacturing processes, and supporting product testing.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering

  • 1–3 years of product engineering, manufacturing engineering, or related technical experience

  • 0–3 years of medical device, clinical, or healthcare-product experience

  • Experience as a mechanical or electrical technician

  • Ability to identify, diagnose, and correct mechanical, electrical, and software issues

  • Basic knowledge of product or process design systems, techniques, and procedures

  • Understanding of medical device regulations

  • Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices

  • Experience supporting production testing methods, procedures, and equipment

  • Ability to use artificial intelligence tools to complete engineering and project tasks

Preferred Skills

  • Experience supporting medical devices after transfer into high-volume production

  • Experience investigating device specification or production-yield issues

  • Experience analyzing customer returns and product failures

  • Knowledge of mechanical and electrical product testing

  • Experience supporting minor product redesigns

  • Experience optimizing manufacturing processes within cost requirements

  • Experience preparing technical documentation within a regulated quality system

  • Familiarity with software troubleshooting in electromechanical products

Job Responsibilities

  • Provide production engineering support for medical device manufacturing

  • Develop and improve production testing methods and procedures

  • Investigate and resolve manufacturing test problems

  • Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and software-related product issues

  • Analyze device specification and production-yield problems

  • Support minor redesigns of devices, components, and related manufacturing documentation

  • Investigate returned products and document failure-analysis findings

  • Identify corrective actions for product and manufacturing issues

  • Support products following transfer into high-volume production

  • Optimize production processes within quality and cost requirements

  • Support manufacturing operations outside of wafer-fabrication processes

  • Assist with product-use and complex device-testing issues

  • Use AI tools to research technical issues, analyze information, prepare documentation, and support project execution

  • Maintain compliance with medical device regulations and Good Manufacturing Practices

  • Prepare engineering reports, test documentation, investigation records, and product-change documentation

Pay: 29-39/hr

Pay Details: $29.00 to $39.00 per hour
