Program Manager
Leads the technical recovery, integration, verification, and certification of aerospace brushless motor-control systems involving embedded software, electronic hardware, and power electronics.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, software engineering, or a related technical discipline
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in aerospace, avionics, embedded systems, or safety-critical product development
- Minimum of 5 years of program management experience
- Experience managing complex aerospace programs with certification requirements
- Experience with embedded hardware or embedded software development
- Experience troubleshooting multidisciplinary hardware, software, integration, and verification issues
- Experience leading technical recovery, schedule-turnaround, or high-priority issue-resolution efforts
- Experience reviewing system requirements, designs, verification results, and certification documentation
- Experience coordinating engineering deliverables, technical priorities, risks, schedules, and corrective actions
- Experience supporting verification, validation, and certification activities for airborne systems
Preferred Skills
- Experience with DO-178 airborne software certification processes
- Experience with DO-254 airborne electronic hardware assurance processes
- Experience with brushless motor-control systems
- Experience with motor drives and power electronics
- Experience with aerospace control applications
- Experience supporting Airbus programs or Airbus customer requirements
- Knowledge of airborne electronic hardware validation and verification
- Experience managing safety-critical aerospace development programs
- Experience with systems integration, root-cause analysis, and corrective-action management
- Experience leading technical reviews, certification reviews, and issue-resolution boards
Job Responsibilities
- Oversee development, integration, testing, and certification of aerospace brushless motor-control systems
- Lead technical and program recovery activities for programs operating behind schedule
- Develop execution plans to restore technical deliverables and program milestones
- Assess issues involving embedded software, electronic hardware, power electronics, and system integration
- Lead root-cause investigations and corrective-action implementation
- Review existing system architectures, designs, requirements, and interfaces
- Identify technical, certification, verification, schedule, and integration gaps
- Prioritize engineering activities based on program risk and milestone requirements
- Coordinate work across hardware, software, systems, verification, certification, and program teams
- Track technical issues, corrective actions, dependencies, and completion status
- Review verification plans, procedures, results, and certification artifacts
- Support compliance with applicable aerospace certification standards
- Lead or participate in architecture reviews, design reviews, verification reviews, and certification reviews
- Lead technical issue-resolution boards and recovery meetings
- Coordinate customer-facing technical reviews and status discussions
- Support integration and validation of motor controls, drives, electronics, firmware, and embedded software
- Evaluate hardware and software changes for certification and system-level impacts
- Monitor program schedules, engineering deliverables, risks, and recovery metrics
- Coordinate technical decisions with engineering leadership and program management
- Maintain technical recovery plans, issue logs, certification records, and program documentation
- Support final system verification, certification approval, and program delivery
Pay Details: $60.00 to $81.00 per hour
