Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree with at least 6 years of relevant engineering experience

  • Graduate degree with at least 4 years of relevant engineering experience

  • Active Top Secret/SCI security clearance with favorable polygraph

  • Clearance must be active or have been active within the past 2 years

  • Availability to work 100% onsite

  • Proficiency with Creo or a comparable 3D CAD platform

  • Knowledge of ASME Y14.5 Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing standards

  • Experience developing mechanical concepts and presenting technical information to program leadership

  • Experience creating engineering models, assemblies, drawings, and technical documentation

  • Experience designing precision mechanisms

Job Responsibilities

  • Develop mechanical and mechatronic system concepts for classified programs

  • Create and revise 3D CAD models, assemblies, and engineering drawings

  • Apply ASME Y14.5 GD&T requirements to component and assembly designs

  • Design precision mechanisms and electronic packaging solutions

  • Evaluate structural and thermal loading requirements

  • Optimize designs for size, weight, power, manufacturability, and assembly

  • Support the integration of actuators, gear trains, electronics, and electro-optical components

  • Apply additive manufacturing methods and part-optimization techniques when appropriate

  • Perform tolerance analysis and assess component interfaces

  • Review materials, manufacturing processes, and testing requirements

  • Develop technical documentation, design presentations, and engineering reports

  • Gather technical concepts and present design status, risks, and recommendations to program leadership

  • Support prototype fabrication, testing, troubleshooting, and design revisions

  • Coordinate design activities with engineering, manufacturing, testing, and program functions

Pay: 40-60/hr

Pay Details: $40.00 to $60.00 per hour
